
Original Beef Stock Pots
French Onion Soup

Ingredients
1 tbsp Olive Oil
3 Onion (375g), Thinly Sliced
15g Unsalted Butter
1 tbsp Plain Flour
100ml White Wine
2 OXO Original Stock Pots
1 ltr Boiling Water
Cracked Black Pepper to Taste
Method
Step one
Heat the oil in a large, heavy based pan over a medium heat.
Step two
Add the sliced onions and cook for 10-15 minutes or until nicely browned (without being burnt), stirring occasionally.
Step three
Add the butter and flour, stirring for a few minutes.
Step four
Add the white wine and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Step five
Add the OXO Beef Stock Pots and water and bring to the boil.
Step six
Turn down the heat and gently simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Step seven
Finish with cracked black pepper.
Step eight
Serve with a crusty roll.
