Rosemary & Red Wine Lasagne

What you need

Here are the essentials

  • 250g lean mince beef
  • 1tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, roughly diced
  • 50g tomato puree
  • 400g chopped tomatoes
  • 100ml water
  • 1 Rosemary & Red Wine Herbs & More
  • 350g white sauce
  • 6 lasagne sheets
  • 70g mature cheddar, grated

How to make it

Here's what you need to do

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C
  2. Heat the olive oil in a non-stick saucepan
  3. Brown the mince then add the onions and fry for 2 mins
  4. Add the tomato puree, stir well
  5. Add the tomatoes and water
  6. Cover and gently simmer for 20-25 mins, stirring occasionally
  7. Add the Herbs & More, stir until dissolved
  8. Place half the tomato mixture into the base of an ovenproof dish then cover with a layer of pasta sheets
  9. Add a layer of white sauce (approx. half the sauce)
  10. Add the remaining tomato sauce and another layer of pasta sheets
  11. Spread the rest of the white sauce evenly on top and sprinkle with 50g of grated cheddar
  12. Place in the oven for about 30-35 mins, until golden on top
