Quick Beef Goulash

What you need

Here are the essentials

  • 10ml vegetable oil
  • 300g beef for stir frying, trimmed and cut into strips
  • 1 medium onion, peeled and sliced
  • 20g butter
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled and chopped
  • 1 red pepper, deseeded and sliced
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • 75ml white wine
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 Beef Cube
  • 100g soured cream
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

How to make it

Here's what you need to do

  1. Heat a large heavy-based pan or wok over a medium high heat
  2. Add the oil and then the strips of beef, stir fry for a minute or two ensuring all the meat is sealed and beginning to brown
  3. Add the butter and melt, then add the onion and pepper and cook for 2-3 mins
  4. Add the garlic and crumble in the Beef Cube, cook for another minute or so, stirring well
  5. Mix in the paprika, wine and tomato puree, heat through and stir well
  6. Add the parsley and bring to the boil, stirring continuously
  7. Once everything is cooked through, add the soured cream, stir through and serve
